Case Description
Sudden-onset severe occipital headache. CT angiography revealed a saccular aneurysm in the anterior communicating artery.Right femoral artery access. Microcatheter navigated through the aorta up to the arch with selective angiography performed for bilateral vertebral and internal carotid arteries to delineate anatomy and identify any further aneurysms. Platinum coils deployed inside the aneurysm sac. Post-procedure angiogram demonstrates complete aneurysm exclusion, parent and distal arteries preserved. The aneurysm was sealed, neurological function intact and the patient avoided open surgery.
